The much-awaited time of the calendar year is here since Dubai Opera is all set to open its door for the people from August 31st, 2016. People in Dubai are ready to witness it in full swing. Well, the curtains will rise with the charming performance of Spanish tenor and conductor Plácido Domingo.
Labelled as the ‘King of Opera,’ as well as the ‘ultimate operatic artist of modern times,’ Domingo has performed on over 4,000 shows of 147 roles and has performed over 500 times. Downtown Dubai is always on his list.
Dubai Opera will showcase a variety of performances and acts, decide which one you are looking forward to. Cultural diversity is going to shine out since there will be so many nationalities, styles, and cultures out there.
Dubai can definitely sustain a 2,000 capacity theatre! “Having created this astonishing spot we categorically will use it,” Hope, who used to run Royal Albert Hall in London, stated. “It’s not going to stand there like a white elephant.”

Andrea Bocelli & Bryn Terfel’s famous duet performance from the opera.
The Pearl Fishers: The three-act play by the French composer Georges Bizet works as an ode to the gorgeous pearl-diving heritage of Dubai.
Italian opera: Opera without speaking will be an evening of Italian Opera’s utmost overtures and intervals performed by Fondazione Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi, Trieste and led by Francesco Quattrocchi.

The Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia: This prestigious company will perform Giselle which is considered as one of the great Romantic ballets. It’s about the love of a peasant girl who dies of a broken heart after discovering her lover is betrothed to another.

The Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia: The Russian State Ballet and Orchestra of Siberia, Coppélia is a family-friendly ballet based on a story by E.T.A. Hoffmann about an unusual toymaker who has put together a life-sized doll, Coppélia, and daydreams of her coming to life.
The Vienna Concert-Verein Orchestra: This orchestra’s repertoire includes the works of Viennese classical composers, as well as contemporary Austrian music. It includes Grammy Award-nominated pianist Sebastian Knauer.

Impossible: Described as the ‘most dangerous show’ the city has ever seen Impossible is a live illusionist show. It is expected to be like this.

José Carreras live: Famous Catalan tenor, José Carreras, takes his A Life in Music final world tour to Dubai Opera in October.
Hussain Al Jassmi live: Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi takes centre stage, it’s going to be a rock solid performance since he has hit 240 million plus hits on YouTube already.
Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante: Italian violinist Fabio Biondi will be playing the works from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons with his ensemble Europa Galante. The group is known as one of the best for bringing Italian baroque music

Sara Baras flamenco: Spain’s top Flamenco icon, Sara Baras, comes to Dubai Opera with Voces, Suite Flamenca, a display that pays tribute to six flamenco celebrities. Her act is sure to be passionate which is quite clear from this video.
Anoushka Shankar Live The delightful sitar player and five-time Grammy award nominee Anoushka Shankar will take to the stage.
Bejart Ballet Lausanne: Bejart Ballet Lausanne is a Swiss ballet enterprise and they will be performing Ballet for Life (on one night) and a Ballet Gala of Seven Greek Dances, Piaf, and Bolero on another night.

Slava’s Snowshow: This multi-award winning illustration was created and is staged by Russian performance artist Slava Polunin. Expect a dream-like world that ends in a storm leaving audiences literally knee deep in snow.
